Estimates, not offers
How much is data worth to an AI buyer before it is sold?
Updated
Several buyers give a range or an estimator on their page, and each says the number is not an offer. The board shows which buyers state a figure and which leave it to a conversation.
What the buyers say moves the number
micro1 says compensation is based on the quality, uniqueness, and value of the data provided. Nyne says the worth depends on the type and amount of data available, and Murf that a voice dataset's pay depends on its language, quality and length.
Ranges that are only indicative
Mode's estimator gives a payout range and calls it indicative only, subject to a full review of a company's internal tools and data volume. A range on a buyer's page is where a conversation starts, not a price agreed.
Buyers that name no figure
On the board, 15 of the 22 buyers give no figure we could record from the page we read. Their row says so rather than borrowing a number from a press report.
