About How Much Do AI Labs Pay for Data

This site is run by people who read the data partner programmes, contributor funds and crawler paywalls one page at a time and keep each page they read, so that an owner asking what their data is worth sees the buyers' own words and the date they were read.

Why it is here

Talk of what AI labs pay is mostly headlines about the biggest deals. The figures an ordinary company or creator can check are on the buyers' own pages, in different units and on different terms, and this site puts them in one table.

Meant for

Founders, finance directors and advisers of companies that have built up years of records, and anyone who has been told a lab might pay for their data and wants the published figures before they talk to a buyer.

What the site covers

The core is one question, "how much do ai labs pay for data", and a quote form that needs no login. Around it sit 5 guides. There is also a citable data table (figures and method) and the pages we read to build it.

What we leave out

  • We do not rank buyers or say which one pays best; each row is what the buyer's page says.
  • We do not take data, files or logins through the form.
  • We never pass an enquiry to a buyer on the board without the owner agreeing first.

Who stands behind it

Joseph Ellul-Turner, Director.

No buyer, data partner or marketplace on this site pays to be listed, and no link here earns a commission. Each row is our reading of the buyer's own page on the day we read it, not an offer and not tax advice. How we are paid: when a company licenses or sells its data to a buyer we introduced, we charge 12.5% of the deal, with a minimum charge, if we act as its exclusive agent, or 10%, with a minimum charge, if its data goes into a bundle or the pool, set in writing first; any fee a buyer pays us is credited to the company.
